Nationwide Long-Term Care Ombudsmen Program Contact Information
*Each state has a statewide long-term care ombudsman usually operating within the state aging agency. Typically, there are also regional ombudsmen working within each Area Agency on Aging. On this list, you may be directed to either the state ombudsman or local ombudsmen. Some states prefer that you contact a local ombudsman first. If your first contact is with the state ombudsman, you may be referred to a local ombudsman at that time. If you don't connect with the agency you want or the service you need, ask the ombudsman contact for a referral.
