Disaster Preparedness for North Carolina

North Carolina has a strong effort in place to both prepare for and respond to disaster events. In the past, North Carolina has had it's share of disaster events - hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, ice storms, heat waves, times of drought, etc. Each one impacts families differently. But, even minimal planning can help.

Our sister site, the website for Triangle J Area Agency on Aging, provides in-depth information on disaster response and planning appropriate for all caregivers and families statewide. Please visit this site for information to both help you plan for disaster events and to help you manage your affairs after an event.
