Arts Access

Arts Access is an organization whose fundamental goal is to encourage and enable persons with disabilities to have full access to arts programs and facilities and participate fully in the cultural and artistic life of Raleigh, North Carolina and the Triangle area. |
To this end, Arts Access has drawn together a coalition of organizations and concerned individuals who are involved in improving the quality of life for persons with disabilities and who recognize the important contributions of the arts. All of the services of Arts Access are free of charge to patrons of the arts.
Exchange Post
Partnerships in Assistive Technology, as a free service to North Carolina residents, offers individuals the opportunity to list - online - used assistive devices for sale and/or they may list items that they would like to purchase.
Recreation
The North Carolina Office on Disability and Health works to increase awareness and understanding of the health related needs of individuals with disabilities, improve access and inclusion, and develop health promotion programs and educational materials for consumers.
They have developed two booklets related to recreation that are available online.
The North Carolina Recreation Resource Guide includes a listing of inclusive recreation facilities and opportunities in North Carolina for individuals with disabilities. Resources include community, state, and regional recreation resources as well as national adapted sports and recreation organizations.

Generations Tadpole Assistive Technology Lending Library
This Kate B. Reynolds funded non-profit lends and delivers low-tech assistive technology devices and toys - at no charge - to families and professionals across North Carolina. Anyone working with an individual with a disability is eligible to borrow items and to receive free shipping.
