Family Planning for a Disaster
As a caregiver, you have the responsibility of planning for your entire family as well as the older family member that you care for. There is a wealth of information available to help you.
The Red Cross is always at the forefront of Disaster Preparedness and Planning. They offer information in every area of disaster planning and response. Our sister site, Triangle J Area Agency on Aging( TJAAA) , offers easy links to Red Cross disaster planning information of interest to seniors and family caregivers.
TJAAA also offers an entire section on disaster planning and preparedness. It is designed to assist North Carolina residents. However, much of the information is generic. If you are not from North Carolina, call your local Area Agency on Aging if you want to find out if your state offers a resource you find interesting.
