Searching for Information on the Site
A good website provides relevant information that is up-to-date and it allows a visitor to easily find needed information.
We strive to provide relevant and up-to-date information useful to family caregivers of older adults. We also work to make this information easy to find - and find more than once.
To do that, we offer several ways to search and navigate our site.
- Navigation
The navigation bar to the left of your view provides a guide to how the website is organized. Each section identified has a flyout menu that lists sub-categories of information. This navigation bar will scroll, if you allow it through your Internet security settings, up and down the page with you so that you will always have the capability to access information throughout the site at your fingertips. It is on every page. - Information Bar
The information bar at the right of your view provides handy links to sites and additional information pertinent to the topic at hand. This bar is where the majority of pictures are located so that, should you choose, you have the option of not having this feature so that your download time will be shortened (pictures take longer to download). However, if you choose to allow it, you will be able to easily access links to help you find the information you need. These links are usually also within the page text so if you don't use the bar, you will still be able to access the information. - Topic Index
The Topic Index is an easy way to find information on the site. We have devoted an entire page to the Topic Index and how to use it.
- Bookmarks
Your Internet browser (Explorer, Mozilla, Netscape, etc.) allow you to bookmark a page. We provide an entire page on this feature. We suggest you use it for pages that you wish to access over and over. - Caregiver Specialists
Throughout the site, we promote and provide access to the services of the Caregiver Specialists. They, in addition to the local Information and Assistance professionals, are knowledgeable about resources, services, and opportunities related to the caregiving role and likely issues that a caregiver might face. They are available and happy to assist you. If you cannot find the information you need, contact a Specialist.
- Webmaster
We hope you find everything that you need to help you in your caregiving role. If, however, you cannot find what you need, let us know. We are here to provide a service for you. We want to do it well. We welcome your suggestions and if there is a topic we need to add, let us know.
A link to the feedback page is provided for you in the Information Bar (to the right of your view) on every page. As you look through the site, please take a moment and let us know what helps you and if there is anything else that you could use.
We hope you will find the Full Circle of Care Caregiver Website useful enough to visit whenever you need information or assistance related to being a family caregiver. If there is any way we can be of service, let us know.
